Obstacles:Higher education is unique. Colleges and universities have to contend with rules and regulations internally, locally, at the state level and at the national level. Forming a strategy that complies with all of these rules and regulations – and doing it with limited access to the school's website was a challenge. In this case, our client had a sub-domain at CMU.edu, so content was shared with the rest of the website. Targeting traffic and directing searchers to the right page required just the right combination of on and off page optimization.
Strategy:Eyeflow identified the strongest pages in the sub-domain and built up their visibility in search results through a variety of link building techniques. We also had to make adjustments to the keyword list and where we focused our efforts based on different enrollment periods for the graduate school.
